2026-27 Exchange – Key Dates

INTERESTED IN A SHORT- OR LONG-TERM EXCHANGE? HERE ARE SOME KEY DATES TO KNOW.

Sept 17, 5:30 PM: Informational meeting for students and parents interested in Long- or Short-Term Exchange Programs. Location – Waupaca High School Library.

The Preliminary Application can be completed online, or a hard copy is available in WHS Guidance Office.

Sep 22: Application and Transcripts due to Cheryl Sletten ([email protected]).

Sep 24, 5:30 to 8 PM: Long-term exchange program interviews at the Waupaca High School Library. Student and at least one parent must be present. Applicants will be called with a specific interview time.

Sep 26: Applicants notified

Oct 1: Deadline for selected Long Term applicants to register for mandatory fall conference.

Oct: Short-term exchange program interviews will be scheduled in October. Interviews will take place at the Waupaca High School Library. Student and at least one parent must be present. Applicants will be called with a specific interview time.

Oct 17-19: RYE training conference for long term exchange students in Wausau, WI. Student and at least one parent must attend.

Scholarships are available for long-term exchange students. Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch are welcome to complete a Scholarship Application Form.
